If you’re reading this, it’s clear you’ve taken a look at our new website!
The goal of this site is specifically to make it as mobile friendly and easy to navigate as possible. We are accomplishing this by building a ‘responsive’ website. This means the site should respond to the user’s behavior and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation…ie…you should be able to get the information on your phone just as easily as your computer. This will be most visible on the calendar which is no longer just a link to the PDF file of our annual calendar, but rather a dynamic readable presence that is easily viewed on your phone.
Additionally, as we continue to build the site, you will see “News” stories that will hopefully keep you updated on important events at AVS. This should be helpful for those of you who don’t use Facebook as that is a common place for us to present information.
Finally, we’re open to any and all suggestions. This is a community school that continues to grow and succeed because of all of it’s families so please don’t hesitate to let us know what we can add to the site to make your experience better.
