DESCRIPTION:Dear Alexander Valley School Parents\, \nAs you know\, each year we are in need of additional funds to provide the best possible experience for our children. This year we are raising money for Upper Grade Overnight Field Trips and Lower Grade Special Assemblies. Our goal is to raise $14\,000\, approximately $2\,000 per class. \nThe Jogathon/Walkathon will take place on Thursday\, September 21st at 1:30. Each child will be asked to collect pledges for the number of laps jogged/walked. Sponsors may also pledge a flat amount if they prefer. Children should ONLY ask for pledges from friends and family members. This is a great time to get on the phone and contact relatives who don’t live in the area. There is no product to ship-but the best kind of reward-reinforcing our student’s healthy bodies! (We ask each student to set their own personal goal for this event.) \nIf we meet our school goals: 100% School participation: Mr. Reno will allow us extra recess. Parents\, please plan to take walks with your child. This is a great opportunity to initiate family walks that can last well into the school year.
