Reno Report 10-27-20

Oct 27, 2020

Dear AVS Parents & Guardians,

Resiliency seems to be the theme this year as our students, parents, and staff continue to demonstrate having it on a routine basis. Despite having much of the valley continuing to manage the power outage over the last couple of days, our AVS community has continued to figure out a way to keep the leaning momentum going for our students. We appreciate everyone’s efforts around keeping our students engaged in their leaning during the latest PSPS outage.

Thanks to all the families that joined us last week on this “one of a kind” picture day experience. It was great to see our students looking their best…all dressed up and wearing big smiles! We hope to keep the smiles going this upcoming Friday as we have the AVS staff dressing up and handing out treat bags to students during our 12-1pm drop off/pick up in the AVS parking lot. A special thanks goes out to Renee Schink, AVSPC, and all of the room parents arranging the treat bags for our students! We look forward to seeing our students in their costumes as our parents drive through the lot later this week.

Later on Friday afternoon, DJ Alex Flores will be cranking up the tunes at our Halloween Zoom Dance Party! Oct 30, 2020 3:15-4:15pm Join Zoom Dance Party Meeting Link: https://zoom.us/j/94980472287?pwd=SU5iTjUwNHZZYmVkMWVPZVVpbHJyUT09

Thanks,
Mr. Reno
